September 23, 2004ClearOrbit selected by Doskocil
ClearOrbit, a provider of real-time supply chain execution (SCE) software solutions, today announced that Doskocil--the marketer and distributor of Petmate, Gun Guard, and Golf Guard--has selected ClearOrbit's Compliance Label Manager software product. With Compliance Label Manager, Doskocil will implement a solution for maintaining compliance with existing bar code labeling standards of national distributors and retailers who ship and market Doskocil's wide range of products.
 
September 8, 2004Smarte Solutions acquires Vincera
Austin-based digital-piracy management firm Smarte Solutions Inc. has bought Vincera Inc., another Austin-based company. Vincera develops software for businesses that moves customer functions to a company's Web site. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. As part of the acquisition, Smarte Solutions has changed its company name to Vincera Inc. According to the company, the name change will allow more latitude where trademark issues are concerned

May 26, 2004Hart InterCivic Wins $887,000 contract with Yakima County, Washington
Yakima County has selected Hart InterCivic's eSlate Electronic Voting System for absentee and Election Day balloting and vote tabulation. The county's 91,000 registered voters will begin using the new system in September 2004, when Washington conducts its Primary Election. The contract is valued at $887,000 and includes eSlates to be deployed in 36 polling locations around the county. Equipment delivery, setup and training will begin in June.

April 22, 2004Hart InterCivic Wins $8 Mill Contract from Hamilton County, Ohio
Hamilton County selected Hart InterCivic's eSlate Electronic Voting System to replace its current voting method. The value of this contract is estimated at $8 million. The home county of Cincinnati has over 500,000 registered voters and brings to more than 830,000 the number of Ohio voters who will use the eSlate System in future elections. With the addition of Hamilton County, a total of eight Ohio counties to date have selected the eSlate as their new voting system with the total value of these contracts exceeding $14 million.

Mobile and Desktop Automation provides a mobile bar code solution that allows Voltek to automatically capture critical transaction data on the manufacturing floor.
