Scott Collier - Managing Director
Scott joined Triton in 1999 and has been a venture capital investor in Texas since 1991. Prior to Triton he was Vice President of Capital Southwest Corporation, a publicly-traded venture capital firm, where he worked with a diverse range of startup, spin-out and later-stage portfolio companies. Scott has been an active director on the boards of numerous portfolio companies and has worked closely with senior management to make acquisitions, raise additional capital from private and public market sources, effect business combinations with strategic acquirers and recruit key management personnel.
Scott began his career as an aircraft design engineer and project manager with Northrop Grumman. He has a BS in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University, an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and he completed the California Institute of Technology’s Engineering Management program. Scott is active at the board level with portfolio companies Clearorbit, Hart Intercivic, Innovalight and Vincera. He has been a guest speaker and panelist for forums on venture capital and has served on selection committees for numerous venture capital conferences. He has been a guest lecturer at The University of Texas McCombs School of Business and SMU’s Cox School of Business, has served as a judge for the UT Moot Corp business plan competition and serves on the boards of the Entrepreneurs' Foundation of Central Texas and the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation.
